About Me

Thanks for stopping by my page and for coming to learn more about my fitness journey. I’m stoked that you’re here. Fitness is such an important topic and I love to share my passion for it.

It all started when…

I grew up in small-town Virginia and was a multi-sport athlete competing in basketball, soccer, and running cross country. However, my true passion didn’t really become clear until I started picking up alpine skiing. My first ski trips were to a small hill close by in West Virginia. Although I had a tough go of it at first, it didn’t take long to become hooked on the feeling of sliding downhill. During college, I was the one to organize winter break ski trips when everyone else was going somewhere warm. After graduating college, I began working as a ski coach and eventually became certified with the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) in 2010. Over the years I have continued to share my enthusiasm for the sport and pursue higher levels of certification and expertise.

The next step in my journey was to get certified as a personal trainer. I have been fortunate to be active and healthy my whole life and I wanted to help others do the same. In 2021, I earned a certificate as a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the world’s leading institute for research into exercise science. Exercise science is the backbone of how we make decisions about how to train. It shows you the how and what of effective programming.

Today, I’m here to help you achieve your fitness goals.

Whether that’s improved physical fitness, better sports performance, or understanding the nutrition side of things, I’m here to work with you. Click the button below to see how we can work together!

Do what you love

My favorite type of workout is speed and agility training.

Short bursts that require me to think on my feet (literally!) are a blast.

In particular, agility ladders require fast footwork and good concentration. I love switching up my foot cadence and movement patterns for a particular drill.

This type of training is great for anyone but athletes in particular will benefit from it.

Love what you eat

I love to eat! Who doesn’t?

Part of being fit and in top shape is having a diet that is balanced with a wide variety of whole foods.

My favorite muscle-building meals are eggs and toast for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a bowl of chicken and broccoli and rice for dinner.

Like anything in life, balance is key. About 80% of what I eat helps me stay healthy and build muscle, and 20% is for fun. I’m always trying out a new cooking technique.

Purpose-Driven Fitness

All of my training I do on my own is dedicated to getting me in shape for skiing in the winter.

I love resistance training and track workouts when I’m running. Slow, steady cardio is also a staple.

When I’m not lifting or running you can find me hiking up a mountain or paddle boarding on the water.
